CLIMATE CHANGE


     The planet that we live in right now which is called Earth is already experiencing climate change that is why we can't really have a hundred percent guarantee that it will be raining or going to be sunny. This climate change has many effects to us humans and also to the environment around us. Some new diseases are caused by climate change, flash floods, melting of ice in the Arctic zone, extreme heat and unpredictable weather. Climate change is defined as the change in the composite prevailing weather conditions of a region such as temperature, air pressure, humidity, sunshine, cloudiness and winds.

                               When there is climate change, there are some new diseases found. It is because the weather affects all the living things which is why there are still some unidentified diseases and diseases that don't have cure yet.

                               We don't have to go to other places in order to see flash floods. It's now present in our country. Flash floods occurs when there is too much rain that it will cause the whole barangay or town to sink in water.

                                Melting of ice in the Arctic zone is now slowly happening to our world. If this scenario continues, we will all sink because there will be too much water in our Earth.

                                Heat cancer, heat stroke and heat allergies are just some effects of extreme heat. Too much heat from the sun will cause us many diseases.

                               As of now, it's really hard to trust the weather forecasts because we are experiencing unpredictable weathers. Let's say it's sunny in the morning then is suddenly will rain hard on the afternoon.

                              Truly, we should be afraid of this phenomenon because it will cause distraction . If we don't avoid the causes of climate change then it will happen and will destroy all the living and non-living things on Earth.

INVENTION




    This robot is called the leaves eater. Once you feed it with leaves, you will chose what food you like, it can produce any food, and press the quantity and it will process the food that you like. The more the food, the more the leaves needed to do the task. The main switch is located at the back and it is also where you will put the leaves. The food will come out of its mouth.

PRE-MARITAL SEX

I believe that people should not practice pre-marital sex for the sake of both person involved. First of all, what is pre-marital sex? According to wikipedia, pre-marital sex is sexual activity practiced by persons who are unmarried. Historically considered taboo by many cultures and considered a sin by numerous religions, it has become more commonly accepted in the last few decades. There really is something wrong with this kind of activity because sex is a sacred thing designed by God. According to elders, the only ones who should do sex are the one who are married, otherwise it is a mortal sin.

Some teenagers engaged in this activity only because of temptation, curiosity and influence of others. Most of the time it is because of curiosity which really stirs the young ones to do this kind of stuff. Because the teens nowadays are aggressive and experimental, their curiosity is unlimited. Of course, if you are a teenager, you are always with your friends. This friends affects you with most of your decisions, even though sometimes you know that what they are telling you is not right,  you still do it. I believe that sometimes, we need to think things first before engaging to it.

So I therefore conclude that if we want a good future, the best thing to do is be close to God because He will guide us all the way through. We should always do the right thing and always remember what God’s will are. We should not do foolish things like this because we cant have a bright future if we are not thinking.

BRAIN DRAIN

Brain drain is also called as human capital flight but commonly referred to as brain drain. Brain drain is the phenomena whereby nations lose skilled labor because there are better paid jobs somewhere else. It is also defined as the loss of skilled intellectual and technical labor through the movement of such labor to a more favorable geographic, economic and professional environment.

            The reasons of brain drain usually includes two aspects which respectively come from countries and from the individual.

            In terms of countries, the reason may be the social environment. This reason includes lack of opportunities, political instability, economic depression and health risks.

            On the other hand, for the individual reasons, there are family influences and personal preference. The personal preference includes exploring and an ambition for an improved career.

            I think that brain drain can both be advantageous and disadvantageous depending on the situation your country’s in.

How to make Pastillas

            In doing this, you will need a powdered milk, sugar and water. First thing to do is pour a calculated amount of powdered milk in the bowl. Then add enough sugar to the bowl. After adding sugar, you should pour some water to it. Mix all the ingredients until it becomes sticky like pastillas. Then roll the pastillas horizontally. Cut it depending on the size that you want. Lastly, put it in the cellophane. It will have a better taste if you put it in the fridge for some time but, it’s not necessary.

The jaguar and the deer

One day as the jaguar is searching for his supper, he met a deer along the way. He promised not to eat it. He talked to the deer and said “I think you lost your path, “deer” fellow”. “yes indeed I am lost.” Answered the deer. “ you know I’m a bit hungry this time and I’m lucky that you are lost.” Says the jaguar. “are you going to eat me?” asked the deer. The jaguar seized him and ate him up, saying, “ of course I will eat you. I don’t want to be supper less”.

           

            As usual, the stronger one always wins.

Little Girl, Little Boy will come

This is a story of a little girl who fell in love. It’s the first of the little girl at her new school. She’s a new student in there. She feels anxious and glad at the same time. As soon as her class starts, she felt something different about the little boy in front of him. He’s stunning and she was stunned by his charm. As long as time goes by, she didn’t noticed that she completely fell for him. That boy was her first love. He was beautiful, magnificent, smart, athletic and kind. But, he didn’t notice her.

Fortunately, as the 6^th grade enters, he’s becoming close with her and as time goes by, they are being closer and closer to each other. Maybe, the 2^nd happiest time was when they are both on the 2^nd year of their high school because they are really close friends that time and they enjoy the company of each other. Here comes the senior year, when she took a peak at the list of her classmates, she quickly searched for his name on the list. To her surprise, he was his classmate. She was really happy that God gave her wish. This time, they are like the closest friends. He always sits next to her in class. He always calls her attention. They always plays with each other. There’s not a day that he doesn’t talk to her. Sometimes she hides his hanky and he does the same. They don’t care to what other people might say about them being like that. She was glad that he became close to her and she wished that this closeness will stay forever.

Even if sometimes he disappoints her and she cries to her heart out loud, she always forgives it, move on and forgets it like nothing has happened. She really truly loves him but he doesn’t know that. He was her first and real love so it is hard to forget him because they are together for more than 9 years. So it was really saddening to her part that he doesn’t feel the same. Every night she cries and every morning she wakes up with the hope of feeling the same way as she did to him. Even if he doesn’t notice her, she’s still loving him secretly. In short she was really crazy about him. He was her prince charming, knight, king, best friend and her first love. As she grows older she soon realize that she must forget about her dream of him falling for her.

Suddenly, when she was on her way home from her work, he saw her walking down the street and he quickly approached her. They went to a coffee shop and talked for a while. They catch up with each others life and this scenario happened repeatedly until he soon realize the he fell for her. He proposed to her at the rooftop of her office. The place was like a fairy tale. There are lights everywhere, an orchestra playing and a table at the center with the guy standing behind it. As soon as she saw this, tears began to fall down to her cheeks. She didn’t really expected this thing to happen. It was like a dream that became a reality. She told him that he loved him ever since she was a little girl and until now she loved him. Maybe, if you are really for each other then there will be a way for the two of you to be together. Just wait for the right time. I don’t know when the right time is but I know that it will come. After a month, the got married and they live happily ever after. 

Autobiography

Howdy pal I am Jacqueline Mortel, currently a college student taking up computer science at De La Salle University Dasmarinas. I was born August 26, 1995 so I am 16 years old. My body built is not big nor small. I am not fat nor too thin. I’m at average height. My parents names are Nancy Mortel and Manolo Mortel. My Favorite characters are Stitch, Tinker bell and Shaun the sheep. I like the colors aquamarine, gray and white. I crave for toblerone and while I’m eating it I remember my crush giving me the exact same thing. When it comes to academics, I don’t really give my best shot. Maybe I will try next time.

            Almost all of the people tells us to be ourselves so I sing even if I’m out of tune. I dance even if I don’t really know how to. Those are some things that I like to do when I’m alone. I play the piano once in a while. I also love to draw. I easily get sleepy when the temperature suits me. I love to play with my neighbors that are much younger than I am because I easily get happy around them and they make me forget all the problems. When it comes to games they are not “maarte” and that’s what I like about them. When they are not present, I play with my dogs instead. I like to eat sweets and I like to buy lots of doughnuts and chocolates. I have a lot of hobbies and I couldn’t tell you all because this might be very long.

            When I was in high school, my life revolved with only one guy. Can you imagine that??? One of the most unexpected thing that he did was choosing me as his partner for the prom. I was really giddy and he was really sweet. I was scared at the same time because I might do something wrong while I’m dancing like do the wrong step. While we’re practicing, almost all of the eyes are on us because of him. He was like the prince of our school. This crush of mine was also my classmate way back when I was in grade 2. he was my first crush. I  think I admired him for 8 years and he was my classmate for 6 years if I’m not mistaken. My parents know him so well and also my cousin. He was a volley ball player and our MVP and my MVP=most valuable person. He is so handsome, nice, God-fearing, smart, plays the guitar and the drums, sometimes he sings. How can girls not fall to this guy? He’s almost perfect. I really fell for this person because of his attitude and humor. We are close friends and I know it’s all that it can be. Although sometimes we are sweet with each other, in the eyes of other people there’s something between us, but there’s really none. I still can’t get over him up until now. I think he’s the guy I really loved way back. I think the saying is true that first love is the most memorable and the most hurting one. I think his the best thing I never had. When I watch some American movies, I remember him as the protagonist because they got the same attitude, and he looks the same because he is half German so he got the looks and he got my tastes J. He is now studying at UST and I got stocked he at La Salle but it’s not a bad thing at all. So much about him, let’s move on to my life.

  

As I said a while ago, I am currently studying here at DLSU-D and life nowadays aren’t that easy because we got so much errands. I’m also having a hard time in our programming subject which is our major so I’m really scared. Maybe I’m still in the process of getting used to this kind of life. Its good for me to have my friends and my inspirations around. I can’t really tell you about my college life because I’m still starting but I can tell you that I think this will be fun. I know that my ideas are scattered. I can’t really express myself clearly with words but I know you got a little insight about who I am. So I’m going to end this thing with this line, “live life to the fullest and do not waste your time because life is short.” =D

I-Witness

The date when this thing happened is not really clear. I cant remember the exact date of this scenario so I wont write it here anymore. It was a dark, cloudy, frightening afternoon for us because of the storm Ondoy. My aunt and I was in the house watching the rain our hardly on the street. We slowly noticed that the water on the street was getting higher and higher after ever minute so my aunt got worried and she quickly dialed the number of my dad to tell him to pick us up because the water is getting high. My father quickly arrived with his friend, the are both fighting the strong current that is already above knee. We asked him where’s the car and he said that he parked it in a higher place. He told me to go first and watch the car and to avoid getting stock at the flood. When I was already inside the car, I was watching the flood approach me. It was not long enough before it reached us so I pulled back the car so it won’t be on the water. After about 20 minutes, I saw my father, his friend and my aunt. My aunt told me that the current was so strong that she nearly drown and the water was breast level already. When everything was in place, we left and went on my father’s house. There it was more safe and quiet. It’s higher compared to my aunt’s house so it won’t be easy for the flood to penetrate the house. I quietly asked the Lord for His protection and gently told Him to stop the storm because it’s causing a disaster and making the people worry. After 2 hours, the rain finally stopped, thanks be to God.

The Two of Us From Now On

 

            The sun was penetrating her eyes. It woke her up. She’s at a hotel at the beach. She opened the curtains and see the view from the window. The water is glittering and the people are stunning. The coconut trees are placed perfectly on the sand. Almost all of the people are having fun. 


She woke up her best friend “hey Jemi wake up! We can’t miss this wonderful morning!”. With her best friend’s eyes slowly opened, Veronica quickly changed her outfit. While Jemi was changing, she’s watching from the window. “Veronica, let’s go!”. They opened the door and went straight to the beach. They sat beside each other at a store beside the beach. “two mango shakes please”. 


Out of no where, a guy sat beside Veronica. It’s her classmate for a long time. He was cute, handsome, has a good body built, his eyes are deep blue as the ocean. He is wearing a board shorts and a pair of slippers. “hey Veronica, it’s been a while. I’m glad that I saw you here. I wasn’t expecting this.” Said Gabrielle. “oh my gosh, I wasn’t expecting you too. Wow, you look stunning.” Replied Veronica. “oh I forgot to introduce you to my best friend, this is Jemi by the way, she’s from Europe and she’ll be spending her vacation here at The Keys.” Added Veronica. “I’m glad that you will be having your vacation here, I can see Veronica more often.” He smiled sweetly and Veronica giggles. “Veronica, I’ll give both of you some time to catch up with each other. I’ll go boy hunting first. See you later! Bye!”. Jemi smiled to both of them and then left. 


“So what are your plans this summer Veronica?” asked Gabrielle. “For today, there’s nothing much to do but I might be finding a part time job so that I can pay our hotel fees.” Said Veronica. “ I think it might be a good thing if you visit our place today.” Gabrielle asked her with a puppy eyes. Veronica looked as well and she’s really happy that he offered her that thing. “oh sure! I want to see your place too! It might be a good thing.” 


While they are walking at the skirt of the beach, some girls shouted “hey Gabrielle! Want to play today?” Gabrielle took a peak of them and told them “I can’t! I’m going to do something special for today.” Veronica was eyeing him secretly and she can’t help but smile. She was so in love with him even before. “hey what are you staring at? I know I’m cute so don’t stare like that. I feel like I’m going to melt with those eyes.” Gabrielle chuckled. “who said that I’m staring at you? You are still assuming huh?” said Veronica smiling. “Veronica, I know you. We’re together for a long time so I know that look. Don’t deny it. I know you like me.” Gabrielle said for fun. Veronica said nothing, she just smiled and pinched both cheeks of Gabrielle. 


They are standing in front of each other at the beach. For Veronica, it was like a dream come true. As they reached the gate of Gabrielle’s house, Veronica’s eyes opened wide with what she saw. It’s not a house, it’s more like a mansion. It’s white, big, beautiful and gorgeous like Gabrielle. “shall we enter now? Are you done staring at our house?” asked Gabrielle. “oh. Oh! Okay.” Veronica stammered.  As soon as they entered the house, Veronica saw a grand piano at the corner of the house. She walked slowly towards the piano like she was being magnetized by it. She sat and slowly put her fingers at the keys. Gabrielle looked at her feeling something different. It’s like he realized that Veronica isn’t just beautiful but she also made him fell for her. As Veronica started to play, the sound of the piano filled the house. She was playing gracefully. Gabrielle was mesmerized by what he heard. As soon as the song ends, Gabrielle clapped his hands and Veronica stood up.

They toured around the house and Gabrielle showed her his room. There was this frame with the picture of the two of them from the prom. “you know, I liked you even before. But, I can’t just show it to you.” Gabrielle said. “I liked you also.” Veronica looked at his eyes. They left the house and when they arrived at the beach, Gabrielle kissed her lips quickly and Veronica was surprised. They hang-out with each other till the end of summer and her best friend found a job near their hotel. Soon enough Gabrielle introduced Veronica to his parents as her girlfriend and Veronica did the same.

Early Relationship

          Early relationship that is present in high school and college is one of the most pressing concern to most of the college students. This concern can affect the student in two ways. It can either be positive or negative. It depends on the student on how they will handle the concern. The decision lies in the hands of the one who is concerned. One positive effect of an early relationship is that they can have an inspiration which can boost their potentials to a higher level. It is a good thing that we can achieve something higher because of our inspiration because we can accomplish better things in life. I think another positive effect is that we have a companion, a friend, a teacher, a lover and a best friend, all at the same time. If you’re happy you will be able to study cheerfully which will result in having a good mark. Also because your boyfriend or girlfriend is your teacher or should I say your second teacher, it will make you study more so that you can brag what you got or accomplished because he or she taught you so well. And also you will study more time with him or her in order to spend more time with him or her and more time in studying.

But when there is a positive effect, there is also the negative of it. We also have our negative effect which can result to early pregnancy. If your boyfriend or girlfriend is not in a close relationship with God, no doubt that this will happen because if he or she have a close and intimate relationship with our Savior, he or she will not be on the wrong path. He or she will consider you as a precious human and will let you finish your studies and will let you achieve your dreams first, that is if he or she really loves you and if he or she is with God. Your boyfriend or girlfriend should bring you closer to God so that both of you will be guided in every step that you make. It will also remind you of your boundaries and it will help in strengthening your relationship. So much for that effect. Another effect is that you wont be able to give your full attention in your studies because you also priority your boyfriend or girlfriend. It is common for a boy and girl relationship to be communicating with each other all the time. Some common ways to communicate is by texting, calling, chatting, etc. so instead of giving your full focus to your studies you also give attention to him or her because he might be mad at you because he or she might think that you are just ignoring him or her or he or she can also think that you don’t like him or her any longer.

            It always depends on us on what will be the outcome of our relationship but it will be better if we wait for the right time, right person that God has planned for us because it will be the best. God’s plan is always the best. I don’t know when that will happen but I know it will happen maybe not soon but it will happen. I will wait for that because I know that God’s plan will never fail us. I think the possible solution for this concern is to know if this really is the will of God and also we should wait patiently with the right attitude.

Legend of the Ants

            Once upon a time, there was a teen rich prince named Caspian. He is gorgeous, handsome, talented, tall and all the girls loved him. But there is this character of him being boastful. He sees himself as  god. Being humble is not in his vocabulary. He treats people like they are things. Until one night, someone came in front of his castle and asked for his help. Its an old and weak, poor lady who looks like trash. Of course, he refused to help her. So the old and weak, poor lady cursed him to be an ant. The gods heard the poor lady so they fulfilled her wish. Suddenly, in the castle the staffs are busy searching for the prince because he just disappeared. What they don’t know is that the prince became an ant. The prince tried to get somebody’s attention but they cant see him because he’s very tiny. While looking for some place where he can rest for a while, he saw this girl ant who’s very pretty and she saw her too from a distance. They clicked instantly and had many children. The prince had the courage to try to get the attention of the staffs by biting one of them. He bit someone and it was the cause of his death because that someone slapped him.
